Photo catch up!

I'm not fooling anyone anymore! I've been slacking big time. I can't imagine telling all the stories that go with all the pictures I have saved up to share, so I'm just going to do a few posts to catch you all up on our summer. Today is Natalie's first day of preschool (crazy how fast she is growing up), and it works out to be right at Jackson's naptime, so it looks like I'll have a couple hours a few days a week, so maybe I'll be able to keep you all a little more current in the future.

Here's one from this morning. When I dropped her off she didn't even look at me when I said goodbye and kissed her. I'm so excited for her. I hope she learns to play nice and listen well.
Now for the catch up... we must travel back in time nearly two months, (since then Jackson has learned how to crawl and go up stairs and pull to a standing position. Natalie has had a sleepover at my aunt's house and has made a lot of progress on her drawings and letters... two months is a long time when your small!)

Hanging out on Pearl Street with Kenton, Kellye, Peyton (Jackson's older twin) and Sarah when they visited in July.

We did a bit of hiking this summer, but not as much as two summers ago... hopefully it's not too late to do a bit more!

Flagstaff Mountain with Daddy.

Dirtiest kids ever.

Putting on a puppet show.
Swimming at Grandma's pool.

Hiking again, this time with Kylie and her brother and mom.

Hiking one more time with our old hiking buds Nupur and Aanya, (with the addition of 5 month old Vivaan!)

Summer swim lessons!

Jackson couldn't quite crawl yet here... just pulled himself along like an inchworm.
Hanging out in the shade during a water break at soccer camp.
Coach Ryan signed everyone's ball at the end of the camp.
And that's it for now... I'll try to post the rest of the catch up later this week!

Summer Camp

I wish I could go to camp. Especially if it was this camp! Natalie had so much fun at Sunflower farms that it will definitely become an annual event.

She and her friend Kylie were in the Blue Dog group together.
It was hard for me to say goodbuy - I guess I'd better get used to it since she's off to preschool this Fall... It was the first time I'd ever packed her a lunch!! But she did great. She barely even waved, and I had to steal a kiss.
There was too much fun stuff to do there.

I snuck around a bit after I'd "dropped her off".

Did I mention I want to go to this camp?

Jackson liked it too.

When I picked her up she was sleepy and wet from playing in the water. And her backpack was full of freshly sheared wool! I think she had fun.

Soccer Camp!

I wanted to post some pictures from today, (seriously!) I know we have a lot of catching up to do picture-wise and I promise I'll get you up to speed, but today Natalie started soccer camp and it's too cute not to share!

The first thing they learned in camp was how to look like a real pro, by standing with one foot on the ball and your hands on your hips.
And then they played some games where they put different body parts on the ball, (never your hands!)
They did lots of running of course.
and played lots of games. I have tons more pictures, but they all look like a big group of kids chasing a ball.

So there you have it! Did you notice Natalie's pro attire!? Pink Umbro shin guards and Adidas cleats! I got a great deal at ShopKids in Longmont and will hopefully never have to buy that kind of stuff new, (unless she does go pro and then I might splurge!) Check it out if you're in the neighborhood!

January photo catch up

Natalie getting ready for dance class....
Trying out her new balance bike that Papa Gary gave her for Christmas. She needs to grow about one more inch before she can sit on it with confidence - give her a week.
Jackie Boy napping on Mama Kathy.
Natalie looks for Bruiser now every time we go to Pearl Street.
She also wants to go to the Peppercorn and get a rock candy every time too!
purple mouth.
First real snow, (her dad let her go out like this - it wasn't me!!)
And check out this cool guy! He really knows how to rock a fleece vest!
