First we met Anya and Anna (both pronounced Anya) and their moms at the park in our neighborhood. We met these guys at the library story time, and they're a lot of fun... both are a few months older than Sweetpea, and she's learning lots from them - like going down the slide!! Hopefully she'll catch on to the walking if she hangs out with them a bit more!!
The tubes are a big hit with the toddling set.
The next day we had our neighbors from across the street over to hang out and play for a while... we tried on some of our fun ears, and just enjoyed sharing toys, (and shoes) together for a while. Sweetpea is about a month younger than Maddy there.
And on Friday we spent the whole afternoon out enjoying Scott Carpenter Park with Jill and Isabel. Isabel is just about a month younger than Sweetpea. They were due just a couple days apart, but ours was three weeks early, and theirs was just a bit late, so there you are!
We started with a nice walk with the strollers to the park, and then some swinging, and sliding, and then a picnic! (Don't the flatirons look great behind us there! If I wasn't so darn baby-focused all the time, I could have actually got them into the picture!!)
But after lunch we spent the majority of our time enjoying the crater sandbox!! Little Oliver was nice enough to leave all his toys there for us to play with while he played on the playground.
Here are the girls checking out the dog for a bit.
And here they are playing with a couple of older, (nearly 5 year old) girls.... watching these big girls play was like looking into the not-so-distant future!!
